The Vancouver Harbour, Howe Sound, Salish Sea and the Gulf Islands have world class salmon fishing opportunities every year. During the months of May, June and July we often go further abound to fishing across the straight at an area we call the Gulf Islands off Vancouver Island. This amazing place has abundant runs of chinook and coho salmon as well as good fishing for Ling Cod and rock fish. This area is unique in that it is a salmon funnel for large schools of chinook and coho salmon headed south to rivers in the U.S. and Vancouver Island. The area has many reefs and bays that are home to healthy schools of resident Ling Cod and rock fish which are great table fare. Killer Wales, grey and humpback whales, seals, sea lions, eagles and porpoise are often in the area feeding as well. This area is so abundant in marine life that it has become naturally one of our favourite places to fish. This is what we do year-round here on the Fraser River out of Chilliwack. All of our professional associate guides have several years of experience on the river. They operate custom, jet river boats designed to navigate the might Fraser River safely and efficiently . Sturgeon feed by scent so we use a variety of baits during different times of year to lure these giants into range of our offerings. It is not uncommon to hook into dozens of large fish a day and get amazing photos of you and the fish along the banks of the famous Fraser River. These amazing fish are catch and release only so this fishery is world class for a reason. This is a fishing adventure you must try.
